Ultimately responsible for determining pricing of products and services to maintain profit and growth in both DoD and commercial markets.  Collect and analyze data to estimate the time, tooling, materials, labor and other costs required to manufacture products and/or services. 


Essential Functions (to include but not limited to)

  • Work closely with the Contract Specialists to understand, define and price new program requirements
  • Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents
  • Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications and related documents
  • Computes product and services costs by analyzing required tooling, labor, material and time
  • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
  • Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Perform risk analytics
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications
  • Lead development of new methods and protocols to streamline customer proposal review process
  • Commercial market acumen
  • Ability to build and manage focus teams consisting of participants from various departments to resolve special pricing issues

Basic Qualifications

  • Must pass background check and appropriate drug testing
  • English proficiency
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Prior work experience in a sales or financial environment
  • Proven proficiency in utilizing and interpreting financial models and analyses
  • Previous work with contract and service delivery systems, their terminology and processes
  • Previous experience or exposure to various contract systems servicing the US Government and/or the US military departments
  • Must have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or law (putting this here under ‘Preferred’ as an ex-military applicant may not have a degree and I don’t want to disqualify them)
  • Experience with CRM systems
