This position requires the skills and experience in the design and documentation of tooling incorporated into systems

manufactured by custom and standard systems. Work skills and discipline are required to complete specific engineering

tasks and will work closely with other Engineering and Sales personnel. In this position you will be utilizing multiple design

disciplines including high tolerance, geometric tolerancing and tolerance buildup of part components. The candidate

must be accountable to ensure that developed equipment is responsive to the needs of customers, cost effective, and timely.


  • •Responsible for Mechanical CAD design and development of system tooling for multiple jobs
  • •Work with Sales on Quoting tooling for multiple components unique for customers
  • •Design fixtures for holding parts for welding, cutting and marking
  • •Work with team members to verify tooling is compatible in the system it is being used on
  • •Analyze product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine design
  • requirements for manufacturability as defined by existing processes and methods
  • •Maintain documentation associated within a project including engineering change notices,
  •  bills of materials, detailed CAD models and associated component drawings
  • •Create and maintain part numbers and BOM’s in ERP system
  • •Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects with limited to no supervision
  • •Directly involved in the transfer of hardware designs to manufacturing



  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years’ experience in tool design or Associates Degree in Mechanical Design with 6+ years’ experience in tool design
  • Experience with 3D design tools such as Solidworks or Autocad
  • Ability to apply knowledge of engineering principles to design components and mechanisms
  • Experience with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required for interaction within group, with customers, R&D, and international colleagues
